DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — A 28-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a stabbing that occurred Tuesday night, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

BSO deputies said they responded around 8:45 p.m. to a reported stabbing in the 200 block of Southwest Third Court in Deerfield Beach.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue said paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Authorities said the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Jail records show deputies arrested Michael Allen Stafford on one count of attempted first-degree murder in connection with the incident.

As of Wednesday, he was being held without bond at the Broward County Main Jail.

A motive for the stabbing remains unclear at this time.
