Police took Jorjeans Caballero Gonzalez into custody on Wednesday outside his home and brought to the Doral Police Department.

According to investigators, Caballero Gonzalez is accused of using Snapchat and WhatsApp to message with victims who he believed were teenage girls.

In those messages, police said Caballero Gonzalez communicated with girls he was told were 11 and 14 years old, sending explicit messages that indicated he wanted to perform specific sexual acts on them, but was actually texting with members of the Doral Police Department.

He also solicited the girls to send him nude photos, investigators said.

According to police, while officers were questioning Caballero Gonzalez, “he subsequently stated that he was a person of special needs and did not fully understand his rights.”

Caballero Gonzalez is now facing charges of electronic transmission of information harmful to minors, use of a computer to solicit or lure a child to engage in a sex act, attempted promotion of sexual performance by a child and unlawful use of a communications device.

As of Thursday afternoon, he was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on bond listed as “to be set.”
