MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A “violent” South Florida sex trafficker who went by the street name “Cachi” and called himself a “life coach” beat, threatened and even branded his victims, according to police.
“Cachi,” whose real name is Russell Dominique Brown, is facing multiple felony charges in Miami-Dade County.
An arrest report from the Miami Beach Police Department lists the crime location as 4441 Collins Ave. ― the address of the famed Fontainebleau hotel on Mid-Beach.
‘I don’t consider myself a pimp; I’m a life coach’
Miami Beach police said a 29-year-old victim told investigators that she met Brown, 36, of Lauderdale Lakes, while working at a Pompano Beach strip club in 2025.
Brown was a customer, they said, who “(threw) a lot of cash, which got her attention,” the report stated.
Authorities said he asked the victim to hang out, telling her, “I want to make your life better,” and the two began dating.
Brown was initially “charming, generous and charismatic,” police said, and he began inviting her to his house when he was alone “and they mostly stayed in his bedroom, that had a lock operated by a keypad on it.”
Eventually, police said the victim learned that there were four other women living there, “but they were working at the time.”
“When she noticed all the rooms had makeup vanities and there was a stripper pole in the house, she began to ask questions,” the MBPD report states.
Authorities said Brown explained to her who the women were.
“These are my b----es,” he said, according to police. “I don’t consider myself a pimp; I’m a life coach.”
Authorities said Brown told the victim he could help her start a business, get cosmetic procedures done, as well as a new car and luxury goods.
“He even told her they could have a Baby Cachi together one day,” the report states.
Police said Brown told the victim he “was a big deal in Miami.”
“The victim further explained that all the women living in the house were making money dancing in strip clubs and engaging in prostitution and all of their earnings were put on the money counter as soon as the women got home,” the report states. “(Brown) then would then use that money to pay for room rentals, vehicle rentals and essentials for the women.”
But Brown only made the payments when “he wanted to,” police said.
‘It began to feel like a cult’: A $1,000 daily ‘quota,’ violence and threats
Authorities said the victim began prostituting herself at Brown’s direction, in both Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
Brown set her prices and set a $1,000 daily “quota” for her, police said, “and when she made her quota she could go home to her daughter.”
“If the quota wasn’t made, she would stay and work more to keep him happy because she was afraid of what would happen if he wasn’t happy,” the report states.
Police said Brown, whom the victim knew to regularly be armed, “pushed and shoved” the victim and was “violent” with the other women. Additionally, they said he regularly threatened the victim.
“One of (Brown’s) most common threats was bringing up what happened to another known associate of his, who had testified against him in a bond revocation hearing,” the report states. “That woman was involved in a near-fatal car accident, and (Brown) would constantly say, ‘You see what I did to that b----? When you go against me, you see what happens?’”
Police said Brown would also “constantly tell the victim that he is a member of the Blood Gang and has people everywhere.”
“He also told her he is a Freemason,” the report states. “When the victim told him she didn’t know what that was, he told her to look it up, because he has people all over the place. The victim said he was always telling her he was powerful and to not make him show her how powerful he is.”
According to police, she said “on several occasions,” Brown would turn her phone off “when he was upset with her or he would have the car rental guy use the kill switch on the car she was driving so she couldn’t leave wherever she was.”
Authorities said Brown made music and the victim told detectives that his songs were “playing in his house constantly and it began to feel like a cult.”
“The victim stated all of the women working for (Brown) have tattoos that represent him, that include one of his monikers,” the report states. “The victim showed detectives a tattoo that (he) told her to get on her upper left thigh that says ‘Cachi 5 Queen.’ According to the victim, this tattoo represents that she is one of his girls and the number five to represent his allegiance to the Blood Gang.”
Ongoing criminal case, latest charges
Authorities said Brown committed these crimes while out on bond in a separate human trafficking case.
Brown, they said, “was absconded from custody after cutting off his court ordered ankle monitor.”
Records show Brown was arrested on a litany of charges, including human trafficking, aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a firearm, also by Miami Beach police, in 2021.
He has been jailed in Miami-Dade County since this April in connection with a warrant from that case, records show.
He was formally re-arrested on Wednesday while locked up in the Metrowest Detention Center, police said.
He now faces additional charges, including commercial sex trafficking, human trafficking with branding and deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution.
As of Thursday afternoon, he remained held without bond at the MWDC, records show.
