Chloe, described as a “couch potato” by staff, was brought to the shelter from a county facility.

She is very affectionate but can be timid, and staff said having another dog in the home might help her come out of her shell. Bulldogs like Chloe are known for snoring and heavy breathing, so potential adopters should be aware, shelter officials said.

“She’s just a sweet dog who probably didn’t have toys to play with before,” said HSBC’s Cherie Wachter. “She needs a family that will give her love and attention and keep her clean and healthy.”

Chloe is among many pets available at the shelter, including Ace, a three-year-old cat described as playful and outgoing. Wachter said both animals are looking for loving homes.

Interested adopters can visit HSBC’s website to complete a pre-adoption application. The adoption kennels open at 11 a.m. daily.
