FIFA World Cup 2026: Track Round of 32 eliminations

MIAMI — The FIFA World Cup Round of 32 started on June 28, after the qualification of 12 group winners, 12 runners-up, and the 8 best third-place teams.

After 16 single direct-knockout matches, the winning teams will advance to the tournament’s Round of 16, which begins on the Fourth of July.

Here is the list of the losing teams:

  1. South Africa (54), the Group A runner-up with 4 points, was eliminated on June 28 after Canada won 1-0.
  2. Japan (17), the Group F runner-up with 5 points, was eliminated on June 29 after Brazil won 2-1.

Here is the list of teams that are still in the Round of 32:

  1. Argentina (1) wins Group J with 9 points
  2. France (2) wins Group I with 9 points
  3. Mexico (14) wins Group A with 9 points.
  4. Spain (3) Group H with 7 points
  5. England (4) wins Group L with 7 points
  6. Belgium (9) wins Group G with 7 points
  7. Colombia (11) wins Group K with 7 points
  8. Switzerland (17) wins Group B with 7 points
  9. Germany (10) wins Group E with 6 points
  10. United States (15) wins Group D with 6 points
  11. Morocco (7) is the Group C runner-up with 7 points.
  12. Ivory Coast (30) is the Group E runner-up with 6 points.
  13. Norway (31) is the Group I runner-up with 6 points.
  14. Portugal (5) is the Group K runner-up with 5 points.
  15. Japan (17) is the Group F runner-up with 5 points
  16. Egypt (26) is the Group G runner-up with 5 points
  17. Australia (27) is the Group D runner-up with 4 points.
  18. Cape Verde (64) is the Group H runner-up with 3 points.
  19. Austria (22) is the Group J runner-up with 4 points.
  20. Croatia (11) is the Group L runner-up with 6 points.
  21. Senegal (18) classifies after placing third in Group I with 4 points.
  22. Algeria (29) classifies after placing third in Group J with 4 points and a minus two goal difference.
  23. Ecuador (32) classifies after placing third in Group E with 4 points.
  24. Paraguay (37) classifies after placing third in Group D with 4 points and a minus two goal difference.
  25. Sweden (38) classifies after placing third in Group F with 4 points.
  26. Congo (46) classifies after placing third in Group K with 4 points plus one goal difference.
  27. Bosnia and Herzegovina (64) classifies after placing third in Group B with 4 points and a minus one goal difference.
  28. Ghana (65) classifies after placing third in Group L with 4 points.

Round of 16 begins

July 4: There are two matches at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Miami watch parties: The fan festival opens from noon to midnight at Bayfront Park, at 301 Biscayne Boulevard.

July 5: There are two matches at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Miami watch parties: The fan festival opens for the last day from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Bayfront Park, at 301 Biscayne Boulevard.

July 6: There are two matches at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

July 7: There are two matches at Noon and 4 p.m.

Quarterfinals begin

July 9: There is a quarter-final match at 4 p.m.

July 10: There is a quarter-final match at 3 p.m.

July 11: There are two quarter-final matches at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Sunrise watch party: The indoor Amerant Bank Arena is hosting a free watch party for ticket holders at 5 p.m. on July 11. Parking is free.

Semifinals begin

July 14: The fan festival is closed. There is a semi-final match at 3 p.m.

Miami Beach watch party: Doors open at 3 p.m. on July 14 at The Bandshell, at 7275 Collins Ave., for the semifinal match.

July 15: There is a semi-final match at 3 p.m.

Miami Beach watch party: Doors open at 3 p.m. on July 15 at The Bandshell, at 7275 Collins Ave., for the semifinal match.

Finals begin

July 18: The third-place play-off match is at 5 p.m.

Miami Beach watch party: Doors open at 3 p.m. on July 18 at The Sandbowl, behind The Bandshell, at 7275 Collins Ave., for the 5 p.m. bronze final.

Sunrise ride to stadium: The Amerant Bank Arena has free parking for FIFA World Cup ticket holders who ride Broward County’s free Express bus transportation to the Miami Stadium, also known as Hard Rock, in Miami Gardens.

July 19: The final match is at 3 p.m.

Miami Beach watch party: Doors open at 1 p.m. on July 19 at The Sandbowl, behind The Bandshell, at 7275 Collins Ave., for the 3 p.m. final.

Sunrise watch party: The indoor Amerant Bank Arena is hosting a free watch party for ticket holders for the final on July 19. Parking is free.
