MIAMI — The Miami Hurricanes came out on the inside of the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

In the second edition of what will be five weekly rankings, Miami found themselves ranked at No. 15.

That’s a three-spot improvement from Miami’s No 18 designation last week.

The top 12 teams will make the playoffs.

As it stands, Miami is 7-2 on the season and 3-2 inside the ACC, which means they likely need to win out in order to get into the ACC title game and secure a spot in the playoffs.

The five highest-ranked conference champions receive automatic bids into the playoffs while the next seven highest ranked teams get into the dance with at-large bids.
