The games have all been played, and after a few more rounds of number crunching, the College Football Playoff bracket has been revealed.
One of the few certainties when the pairings came out Sunday was Indiana (13-0) entering the playoff at No. 1.
South Florida football fans were anxiously waiting to find out where the playoff committee placed the Miami Hurricanes.
Ultimately, the Hurricanes were deemed worthy of a spot.
Miami is the No. 10 team in the College Football Playoff and will travel to face No. 7 Texas A& M.
The game is set for Saturday, Dec. 20 at 12 p.m. ET from Kyle Field in College Station, Texas.
“We are excited to be making our first appearance in the College Football Playoff,” Miami Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich said in a statement released by the team. “Congratulations to Mario Cristobal, our coaching staff and our student-athletes on a terrific regular season that was justly rewarded by the CFP Committee. We look forward to facing Texas A&M in the opening round and I know Miami fans will make their presence felt in College Station.”
Looking at the College Football Playoff bracket, the winner between Miami and Texas A&M will face Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31.
