Broward County Purple? Big Three-money, power and position
Miami-Dade Blue began to gravitate toward Red and now it is more of a Purple county that is struggling to maintain its Blue Hue. When politicians’ foremost concerns are a fight for money, power and position… and in that order, the old “turn the other cheek” gets old. More than ever, Peter Traceit is watching in dismay as Dem politicians are making decisions for themselves, based on the Big Three (money, power and position) and not for the people they serve. There is only money, power and position. Fighting and making deals for the Big Three- money, power and position – is the pervasive game of them all.

The “Not At All” Caucus
Growing up as a child, my mother often told me, “Once a task you have begun, never rest until it’s done. Many of them, however, have selected the “not at all” option by simply walking away from the voters they promised to represent. In doing so, they have left the vulnerable communities they serve, to fend for themselves, against the wiles of a craven governor. While Governor DeSantis is willing to sink to deplorable levels to propel his own presidential ambitions, he is not to blame for this inevitable cluster bomb. We can thank the “Not At All Caucus” for that.

Joint Statement on Violent Protest that Have Left Haiti at a Standstill
Congressional lawmakers have made several trips to Haiti and have witnessed firsthand the devastating toll that natural and manmade disasters have taken on the island nation and its citizens. We must do all that we can to ensure that Haiti does not become a failed state as this crisis unfolds. While the frustrations that have prompted the protests are justifiable, the violent acts being used to express them are indefensible and hurt the very people theyre meant to help. Violent protests have shut down government services and businesses and are preventing people from getting to work and school. One of the key pillars of a democratic society is the freedom to stand up and speak out, and we fully support the right of Haitis citizens to do so.
