Controversial animal rights activist Carole Baskin files lawsuit against Netflix for “Tiger King 2”

No one hates the new season of Tiger King more than Carole Baskin. Baskin, a 60-year-old animal rights activist, is the star and perceived antagonist of the hit Netflix series, “Tiger King.” The show followed Joe Exotic, an eccentric zoo owner, and his life at Oklahoma’s Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park. Embed from Getty ImagesThe release of “Tiger King” brought issues for Baskin. If she gave them permission to film her for Tiger King, they should still be able to use the Tiger King tapes,” said Allen Strickland, an interactive media major. Even with the recent loss, the Baskin’s lawsuit is just beginning.

Oh no, ‘Tiger King’ is coming back for a second season on Netflix

It looks like Netflix is trying to cash in on the “Tiger King” phenomenon one more time.

"48 Hours" investigates a "Tiger King" theory: Was Don Lewis pushed from a plane?

Correspondent Richard Schlesinger uses his skills as a pilot to test theories raised in the 1997 disappearance of Don Lewis — the then-husband of Carole Baskin, who was a key figure in the Netflix "Tiger King" series.

Whats New about Normal? The Age of Coronavirus

Living in the Age of Coronavirus has most of us speaking in ways and with terms we likely never have before. Now, they are all we talk about and they have come to define everything we now know about the local business community and the new normal of American commerce. Given that small businesses create two out of every three jobs in America, that is a frightening statistic. Coral Gables at its core is a small business community and our Chamber has served this formidable constituency for nearly 95 years. It may be a matter of survival for us and our local businesses.

Finished ‘Tiger King’? 5 over-the-top things to watch next

Will anything ever compare to the antics of Joe Exotic, Doc Antle or Carole Baskin, of “Tiger King” fame? But we have to assume you’ve finished the show by now, which leads us to this next question: What will you watch next? The following five recommendations seem to be just as crazy as “Tiger King” -- not necessarily the same brand of crazy, but on par when it comes to unbelievability, like, “How can this possibly be real?”(OK, and from the sounds of it, No. 5 miiiiight be the same genre as “Tiger King.”)Anyway, to compile this list, we asked around and brainstormed ourselves. I’ll never get those two hours back.”Those weren’t exactly ringing endorsements, but we thought it was worth a mention.

‘Tiger King’ Joe Exotic mural goes up in Wynwood

MIAMI, Fla. – Joe Exotic has arrived in Miami. A 16-foot mural of the “Tiger King” documentary subject has been painted in the Wynwood neighborhood. It’s worth noting that this is in Wynwood (the artsy Miami neighborhood), not Wynnewood, the city in Oklahoma where Joe Exotic’s infamous zoo was located. The “Tiger King” documentary about that case and the wacky world of big cat breeding has been watched by millions on Netflix. The ‘Tiger King’ reunion special is out and it’s as bonkers as you’d hope

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the rumored “Tiger King” reunion episode has officially dropped, and it’s just as wacky and bonkers as you’d hope it would be. Most fans would probably want to hear from the “Tiger King” himself, Joe Exotic, but as we all know, Exotic is currently in jail, so that wasn’t really a possibility. It also seems that everyone in the cast has moved on from Exotic and thinks that he is a terrible human being. McCale also asked the cast members what celebrity they’d want to play them in a movie version of “Tiger King,” and it was pretty funny to hear their answers. Hop on Netflix and soak in every minute of the bonus episode of “Tiger King.”

We might be getting one more ‘Tiger King’ episode, according to show’s Jeff Lowe

One of the stars of the series, Jeff Lowe, made a personalized Cameo for Los Angeles Dodgers player Justin Turner, and Lowe announced that one more episode is still to come in the epic “Tiger King” saga. So our friend @christie_dish listened to the podcast, @HoldingKourt and after last weeks episode decided to send us this!!! 🚨BREAKING NEWS FOLKS🚨There will be 1 more episode of #TigerKing on@Netflix pic.twitter.com/YeRSIlDKTJ — Justin Turner (@redturn2) April 4, 2020“Netflix is adding one more episode. Netflix hasn’t actually confirmed a new episode of the show, but given its huge popularity while everyone is stuck inside quarantining, it makes sense for the streaming network to capitalize on the “Tiger King” phenomenon while it’s still hot. Oh, and if you still haven’t hunkered down on your couch to watch “Tiger King” yet, what are you waiting for?

Column: Why cant President Orange Julius be more like Queen Elizabeth?

Theres President Orange Julius delivering another bloated pandemic update with white spoons around his eyes, belittling reporters and mashing messages after falling asleep under the tanning lamp again. The president is competing for audience with Tiger King Joe Exotic, but Trumps show is an even bigger circus. The bodies are piling up and Trump says hes doing a good job but not getting enough credit. Just doesnt think its for him. Why would someone who could literally save lives by the mere act of leading by example refuse to do so?

Marco Rubio's Brother-in-Law Dealt Coke With the Miami Drug Lord From Tiger King

If you're a red-blooded, quarantined American, chances are you spent this past weekend bingeing Tiger King, the new Netflix show about the insane feud between Oklahoma zookeeper Joe Exotic and Florida animal-rights activist Carole Baskin. In the second episode of Tiger King (don't worry no real spoilers here), viewers meet Mario Tabraue, a media-shy zookeeper from Miami who just so happened to run a massive cocaine ring back in the day. Tabraue was busted by the feds in December 1987 and subsequently convicted on multiple racketeering and drug charges. But if you scratch the surface the teensiest bit deeper, you'll find another interesting layer: a connection to U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida. Nevertheless, Tiger King includes a brief cameo of Exotic at a Rubio political rally.

Rejoice: Kate McKinnon will play Carole Baskin in TV show, reports say

Variety reports that there is a limited series being made about the big cat lovers, which is based off a podcast called “Joe Exotic," and it will star “SNL’s" Kate McKinnon as Baskin herself. McKinnon signed up to play Baskin in the fall, long before the masses knew anything of the epic feud between Exotic and Baskin, according to the report. Since we have McKinnon cast, the next obvious question is what actors should play the other colorful characters from “Tiger King,” such as Exotic or Doc Antle. Matthew McConaughey comes to mind, especially if you’ve seen him in “Dallas Buyers Club.”Danny McBride, who is known for playing trashy characters, would also nail Exotic. As for who should play Antle, who is equally as zany as Exotic, he’d have to be played by Will Ferrell.

Netflix’s ‘Tiger King’ is essential quarantine viewing

We all know that Netflix has hundreds of movies and TV shows for us to watch, but there’s a new true crime documentary series that just landed called “Tiger King,” and it’s the perfect show to watch while you’re quarantined inside your home. The story mostly follows the self-proclaimed “Tiger King,” also known as Joe Exotic. Exotic (as well as the other exotic animal owners featured in the series) has a nemesis, and her name is Carole Baskin, who owns the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. He hates Baskin more than anything in the world, and won’t stop at anything until he sees her destroyed. Let us know what you think of “Tiger King” in the comments once you’ve finished.
