However, ‘Canes guard Jordan Miller tipped the ball away as time expired, giving Miami a tight 66-64 win on Sunday evening. The Hurricanes got revenge on the Knights, which beat Miami 95-89 at the Watsco Center last season. Volleyball suffers first loss, splits double-header versus UCF and FAU

This was a match that was won at the net, and UCF was simply the better team in that aspect. Similar to the first set, UCF was able to control the middle portions of the second set, and completely dominated the Canes. With Vach’s offensive boost, Miami swarmed UCF in the fourth set, hanging on to win 25-22 to keep their hopes of an unbeaten record alive. In this match, Miami reverted back to its old ways and swept FAU, improving to 8-1 on the season. On the night, Miami dominated every aspect of the game, leading the Bulls in kills, aces, blocks assists and digs.

Significant national pavilions were absent, including the United States, the world’s largest arms exporter. MIAMI – Miami police detectives said Monday that Jose Trimaine Jose, a 6-foot-3 former University of Central Florida player, was killed in a Friday afternoon shooting in Wynwood. ORLANDO - Dillon Gabriel threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns to help No. 22 UCF rebound from its first regular-season loss in nearly three years with a 56-21 rout of Connecticut to begin American Athletic Conference play Saturday night. Gabriel completed 11 of 16 passes without an interception for UCF, and he threw TD passes of 73, 16 and 13 yards to Gabriel Davis while UCF (4-1, 1-0) built a 42-0 halftime lead.
