AP source: NFL probe 49ers for possible COVID violations
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The NFL and the union are investigating the San Francisco 49ers and receiver Kendrick Bourne for possible violations of the league’s coronavirus protocols. A person familiar with the investigation says the probe is looking into whether Bourne was wearing a face covering as required by the COVID-19 rules. Bourne was placed on the COVID-19 list on Wednesday after testing positive for the coronavirus. The Packers also have their own coronavirus issues after running back AJ Dillon tested positive and was placed on the COVID-19 list Monday. Running back Jamaal Williams and linebacker Kamal Martin were also placed on the list because of high-risk close contacts.
49ers close facility after Bourne's positive COVID-19 test
The team said the positive test came back Wednesday morning and Bourne immediately went into self-quarantine after getting the diagnosis. The positive test came just days after the 49ers played at Seattle. All we can do right now is test and be aware of the connections.”This is the first positive coronavirus test for the 49ers since the start of the regular season. The Packers are dealing with their own issues with the coronavirus after running back AJ Dillon tested positive on Monday. Running back Jamaal Williams and linebacker Kamal Martin were placed on the COVID-19 list on Tuesday as “high-risk” contacts to Dillon.

Xilinx stockholders will receive 1.7234 shares of AMD stock for each Xilinx share they hold, or approximately $143 per share of Xilinx stock. AMD stockholders will own about 74% of the combined company, with Xilinx stockholders owning approximately 26%. AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su will lead the combined company as CEO. The deal is expected to close by the end of next year, but still needs approval from regulators and shareholders of both companies.
Jimmy Garoppolo throws 3 TD passes, 49ers beat Rams 24-16
Garoppolo threw three TD passes in the first half and Jason Verrett’s first interception in more than four years helped preserve the lead, giving the 49ers a 24-16 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night. San Francisco’s defense stepped up with some key stops in the second half. Verrett's interception was part of a rough day overall for Jared Goff, who also missed an open Kupp on a deep ball earlier in the second half. Garoppolo found Kittle on a one-on-one matchup with Darious Williams on a fourth-and-2 play that turned into a 44-yard TD. Fitzpatrick’s 3 TD passes lead Dolphins past 49ers 43-17
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 350 yards and three touchdowns and the Miami Dolphins sent the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers to a 43-17 loss. Fitzpatrick connected on a 3-yard TD pass to Adam Shaheen on the opening drive of the game for the Dolphins and didn’t let up. He quieted talk for at least another week that rookie Tua Tagovailoa should take over as starter. The 49ers are the team with questions at quarterback after Jimmy Garoppolo got pulled at halftime after throwing two interceptions. San Francisco fell to 0-3 at home this season.

Charter flight from Miami to Cuba turns around due to possible mechanical issue
MIAMI – A charter flight to Cuba had to turn around and return to South Florida Saturday morning. A mechanical issue caused the plane carrying 135 people on board, including passengers and crew, to return to Miami International Airport. Airport officials confirmed to Local 10 News that the flight was Swift Air #730. The flight departed for Santa Clara, Cuba at 7:30 a.m. but had to return due to a possible mechanical issue. Passengers were bused back to the terminal and Swift planned to put them on another flight.
