news.yahoo.comInside Travis Barker's Tranquil Modern Home
Today Travis Barker welcomes Architectural Digest to Calabasas, California for a tour of the understated, modern home he shares with his growing family. It's been a busy spring for the perpetually in-demand musician - Barker recently produced Machine Gun Kelly’s latest album Mainstream Sellout (which hit #1 on the Billboard charts) and is currently in the studio working on his own label DTA Records, a joint venture with Elektra Music Group. When he decided it was time to refresh the feel of the home he’s owned for 15 years, his mother-in-law Kris Jenner suggested he reach out to Waldo Fernandez, a perennial fixture on the AD100. Barker admits that the restrained vibe he arrived at is a bit of a departure from some of his previous residences. “I’ve had homes with lots of flashy cars, murals, and bikes hanging from the ceiling. But with three children of my own, plus Kourtney’s kids, this place felt right for this moment in my life."See more of Travis' family home.Shop Travis’ home style!Simple—but still interesting—Travis’ serene Calabasas home has no shortage of punchy candles, elegant plants, and textured decor:D.S. & Durga Concrete After Lightning Candle: https://fave.co/3MqDpsu(Similar) Ponytail Palm: https://fave.co/3NiQlRh(Similar) White Lily of the Valley: https://fave.co/3wC4dPI(Similar) Lulu & Georgia Farmhouse Pottery Pantry Candlestick: https://fave.co/3PFvABp(Similar) West Elm Recycled Metal Vases: https://fave.co/3Nqkn5HWant to curate an airy space like Travis? news.yahoo.comSo you thought pop punk was dead? Here’s why you’re wrong.
After his star-making feature on Migos chart topping “Bad and Boujee,” Lil Uzi Vert’s highly anticipated “Luv is Rage 2” went through a series of delays. While Lil Uzi Vert may have warmed up audiences for the impending rap/pop-punk wave to come, the credit for creating the template belongs to one of his fellow Soundcloud pioneers. Lil Uzi Vert had the popularity that Peep never reached, but Lil Uzi Vert’s influences outside of hip-hop primarily pushed him closer towards pop while Peep’s hip-hop influences were less dominant. Travis Barker is one of the world’s best drummers, but he is one man and he cannot carry everyone on his back. Eventually, the genre will need to find its creative powerhouses that go beyond riding a Travis Barker beat.
