Drivers wait for U.S. 1 to reopen southbound at mile marker 119 on Sunday afternoon in southern Miami-Dade County.
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Southbound traffic on U.S. 1 from Monroe County to Miami-Dade County came to a halt on Sunday afternoon.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded to mile marker 119, south of Florida City.
A M-DFR helicopter also responded.
