POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A man was hospitalized after being stabbed during an altercation Saturday night in Pompano Beach, according to deputies.

Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a possible stabbing near the 200 block of northwest 14th Street around 7 p.m., according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded and made contact with a man suffering from a stab wound. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue also responded and transported the victim to an area hospital. His injuries were listed as not life threatening.

According to investigators, the victim was involved in an altercation with a woman when the stabbing occurred.

BSO’s Special Victims and Crime Scene units are investigating.
