Crash blocks Turnpike southbound in Miami-Dade County

Roadway blocked on the Florida Turnpike, also known as State Road 821, southbound at Mile Marker 23, near Bird Road, on Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A crash blocked the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike near Bird Road on Saturday afternoon in Miami-Dade County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded shortly after 12:40 p.m. on Saturday to one person injured at the southbound Turnpike’s on-Ramp at Bird Road, according to MDFR.

Only one lane was closed by 3:25 p.m., according to FHP.
