Oil spill shuts down westbound lanes of Dolphin Expressway after tractor-trailer crash

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A tractor-trailer crash has shut down the westbound lanes of the Dolphin Expressway after more than 120 gallons of fuel spilled onto the highway in Miami-Dade County on Saturday morning, according to Miami Fire Rescue officials.

Officials said MFR crews responded to the spill just after 8:30 a.m. and brought in their hazmat team to contain the spill and prevent further runoff.

They said the westbound lanes will remain closed for several hours while crews clean up the fuel and remove the truck.

No injuries were reported.
