PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — South Florida was in the midst of its deepest cold snap in more than a decade on Sunday morning, with temperatures in the mid-30s and wind chills in the mid-20s.
As of around 6:15 a.m., the temperature in Miami had dropped to 36 degrees, the coldest recorded since December 2010. If it were to dip two degrees lower, it would be the coldest temperature recorded since 1989.

The weather in Key West was practically balmy by comparison, with temperatures in the 50s.
To our north, snow flurries have been reported in Tampa.
High temperatures in South Florida on Sunday are expected to reach into the low 50s.
