Chilly temps still in store for South Florida, but warmup on horizon

Cold weather continues in South Florida

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — South Florida only hit the 50s for highs on Monday and cities across the state, including Fort Lauderdale, set record lows.

Overnight into Tuesday, temperatures are still expected to be cold, but not as chilly as they got overnight Monday, with Tuesday morning lows forecast in the upper-30s and low-40s in South Florida.

A cold weather advisory remained in effect and wind chill values could land around the mid 30s overnight into early Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to bump up a bit, however, with highs for later in the week mostly forecast to be in the low to mid-70s.
