MIAMI — Two people were injured after a head-on crash along Southwest 8th Street and Southwest 157th Avenue in west Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said crews arrived to find one person trapped inside a vehicle and worked to free them.

The two people were transported by ground to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital.

The road remained closed as of Thursday evening.
