Eric Garcia said he was stunned that it took such little time for a tornado to cause so much havoc outside of his father’s home in Palm Springs North.
After the tornado on Tuesday, Garcia has been working hard all day to help cut branches and remove debris from his dad’s yard.
Wednesday was mostly dry. There was sunshine getting through. This heat during the day becomes fuel for atmospheric instability.
In other words, there will be more thunderstorms on Wednesday evening and into the night in South Florida.
A flood watch remained in effect for areas of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties until 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
There was also a rip current statement in effect until 8 p.m. on Wednesday in coastal Miami-Dade and Broward counties, and a coastal flood statement in effect in Monroe County until 5 a.m. on Thursday.
The forecast also includes more thunderstorms on Thursday, just fewer than those experienced on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The weather is set to get dry by Saturday, with seasonable highs in the low 80s.
