Mondays cool front left us with low humidity, highs struggling to reach 80 degrees, and wind gusts up to 35 mph. It will remain breezy over the next couple of days, but gusts will decrease to around 25 mph tomorrow and 20 mph Thursday. Highs will stay below average, around 80°.
With the ongoing drought, any wildfires could start and spread rapidly due to the gusty winds and low humidity over the next couple of days.
We could see a stray shower over the next couple of days, with spotty showers beginning Friday. These will be hit-or-miss, as no organized storm systems are expected to move our way anytime soon. Next week, a surge of heat could push temperatures near 90°, likely making it the hottest stretch of the year so far.
