While last week was all about the record heat, temperatures this week are only slightly hotter than average. We are staying just below heat advisory criteria with a heat index of 100°-105° in the afternoons.
Only a few thunderstorms are expected for the rest of Tuesday with higher moisture moving in Wednesday through the remainder of the week. This will mean more widespread showers and thunderstorms. Some could contain frequent lightning, brief heavy rain, and gusty winds. This pattern will last into the weekend and next week, bringing drought relief for parts of South Florida.
