1 Hotel South Beach is inviting guests and locals to take part in “clay play,” a hands-on pottery workshop on the ocean terrace.

Instructor Erica Lores, who owns Maracuya Studio, guides you through molding and shaping clay into your own unique piece.

Classes are about two hours long and always start with a brief meditation.

“Ceramics can be a very meditative experience, so I think that tied together with the 1 Hotel and their wellness events that they’ve been doing lately -- I think it aligned really well,” Lores said.

The next Clay Play will be held Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at 1 Hotel South Beach.
