POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A cat is back with her owner after seven years! The little black cat named Carly was found by Pompano Beach Animal Control, injured and scared.

She was then taken to Broward County Animal Care, where they discovered she had a microchip that could not be traced.

But hope was not lost.

After staff looked high and low, they found Carly’s owner and the pair were reunited.

“I’m shaking. I’m still so shocked about it,” Carly’s owner, Patricia Booth, said. “She has a very dear place in my heart and I just can’t believe that she’s been found after this many years.”

Both Carly and her mom are happier than ever to be back home together!
