FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – One day after Miami’s Jackson Health System announced it would stop distributing the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines to the public on the last day of April, Broward Health officials said that the last day they will distribute first doses will be April 23.

They, too, cited low demand and extensive vaccination resources throughout the county and South Florida.

In an announcement, Broward Health said it would continue to vaccinate people who have already been scheduled for an appointment.
