Miami police officers arrest 2 women for murder

Murder case involves stolen firearm, records show

MIAMI – Two women — who stand accused of murder in Miami — were at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Saturday held without bond in Miami-Dade County.

Miami police officers arrested Antwoinse Lachaveia Clark and Fredericka Sherice Pickett-Wilson and correctional officers booked them at about 5:50 p.m., on Friday.

Clark, 36, and Pickett-Wilson, 29, appeared in court on Saturday. They were both facing a charge of second-degree murder. Clark was also facing charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and grand theft of a firearm.

Clark has an arrest record in Miami-Dade County. It includes a cocaine possession case that resulted in a probation sentence and two marijuana-related cases that resulted in fines.

Court records show Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Zachary N. James was set to preside over the new cases against Clark and Pickett-Wilson. Their next hearing is at 9 a.m., on Monday.
