Fire damages house in Davie

DAVIE, Fla. — Firefighters extinguished flames going up through the roof of a house on Tuesday in Davie.

Firefighters responded to the house along Cumberland Terrace, near the Appalachian Trail.

A child and two adults were homeless after the fire. No one was injured, according to Davie Fire Rescue.

Broward County property records show the three-bedroom house near a pond was built in 1987. There was a large hole in the roof.

Fire rescue personnel were investigating the cause of the fire. The American Red Cross was helping the family.
