MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Miami Beach police were investigating after a body was found in the water near Government Cut on Wednesday morning.

A spokesperson for the Miami Beach Police Department said officers responded to the area of the Miami Beach Marina, located at 300 Alton Road, at around 8 a.m. after receiving “reports of a deceased male observed floating in the water.”

Authorities haven’t indicated whether they suspect any foul play.

One witness said he saw blood on the man’s face.
