Hunter’s stand found near Palm Beach International Airport shortly before Air Force One landing

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A hunter’s stand was discovered in a wooded area near Palm Beach International Airport shortly before President Donald Trump landed in Florida, the U.S. Secret Service said.

“Our teams identified items of interest near Palm Beach International Airport,” said Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the U.S. Secret Service. “There was no impact to any movements, and no individuals were present or involved at the location.”

The wooded area where the stand was found had no trespassing signs posted and is not designated for hunting. The land is owned by Palm Beach County.

What made the stand alarming was its clear line of sight to the tarmac, where Air Force One was expected to land.

“You could see the tarmac and supposedly where he was hiding, and plenty of gaps in the trees,” said concerned citizen Sam Jones. “It is concerning. I mean, this would be the third attempt on his life if this is true.”

The discovery is now under investigation by the FBI.

FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X: “USSS spotted a suspicious stand near the AF1 zone in Palm Beach. The FBI is investigating.”

Agents said they found “items of interest” at the location. No details have been released about what those items may be.

President Trump has not yet publicly commented on the discovery.
