Violent criminal wanted in Las Vegas found, arrested in South Florida.

Criminal wanted out of Las Vegas busted in Miami-Dade County

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A fugitive wanted out of Las Vegas, Nevada for a series of dangerous crimes like armed robbery, sex trafficking, and kidnapping was arrested over the weekend in South Florida.

Body camera footage obtained by Local 10 News shows 35-year-old Dshante Styles being taken into custody on Friday night.

Miami Beach detectives, in conjunction with the FBI, arrested Styles after initially spotting his rented minivan along the 400 block of Tenth Street.

After he took off from an attempted traffic stop, authorities said they later located his vehicle in North Bay Village, where he ran away on foot before eventually being caught and arrested.

Styles has an extensive and violent criminal record, and in addition to his fugitive warrant, he now faces new charges of fleeing and eluding police here in South Florida.

“Anything from a string of robberies, casino robberies, human trafficking and battery,” said Miami Beach Police Public Information officer Christopher Bess. “Mr. Styles somehow thought that Miami Beach was a place to hide out. He was wrong. He came to the wrong city and he was arrested.”
