BSO: Woman arrested after man shot on I-95

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A 26-year-old woman has been arrested after a man was shot Wednesday while driving on Interstate 95, the Broward Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday morning.

According to the BSO, Breanna Evans faces two counts of attempted murder, one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle and one count of shooting from a vehicle.

BSO spokeswoman Claudinne Caro said the shooting was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Palmetto Park Road and Hillsboro Boulevard in Boca Raton. But authorities said the road rage incident started in Broward County.

Caro said after the shooting, Florida Highway Patrol troopers requested assistance from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Boca Raton Police Department.

Paramedics, meanwhile, transported the victim to a local hospital with serious injuries. His identity has not yet been released.

Caro confirmed that BSO is leading the investigation into the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
