After Hurricane Melissa ravaged Jamaica, the powerful storm hammered the southern parts of Haiti.
The International Red Cross committee was already in the Caribbean country to deal with what it calls “the worst humanitarian crisis in the western hemisphere.”
The director of the Red Cross in Haiti is Melissa Silva Chau.
In a conversation with Local 10’s Calvin Hughes, she said the storm pushed millions who are desperately suffering to their breaking point.
