A new filing is revealing more about the investigation, including who may soon be facing charges.

So far, Carnival and the FBI have not said what might have led to the death of Anna Kepner.

Kepner was found dead aboard the Carnival Horizon that docked in Miami on Nov. 8.

The Miami FBI field office is investigating the circumstances around her death.

New documents point to an investigation involving a minor Kepner was traveling with, saying a 16-year-old is now considered a suspect in her death.

One document said, “A criminal case may be initiated against one of the minor children.”

The FBI has not confirmed information related to a suspect in Kepner’s death, or what her cause of death was.

The latest statement from Carnival Cruise Line said, in part:

“Carnival Cruise Line is fully cooperating with the Miami office of the FBI in the investigation of the death of a guest traveling on Carnival Horizon last week. The ship returned to PortMiami as planned on Saturday morning, Nov. 8 and the FBI has advised that there is no related threat to safety aboard as it sails its current voyage.”

No arrests have been announced so far.
