Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, is accusing Cooper, better known online as Milagro Gramz, of spreading false statements, amplifying an ai-generated deepfake porn video depicting Pete, and fueling online attacks.

Day six of testimony on Tuesday focused more on whether Cooper’s cooperation was as an online commentator versus as a journalist or “media defendant.”

Cooper’s legal team says she should be considered a journalist while Pete’s lawyer tried to poke holes in that title for hours, even bringing in the Society of Professional Journalist’s code of ethics.

Cooper repeatedly called herself “new media,” saying the rules aren’t black and white anymore.

She also reiterated that she feels she is the one being bullied, unfairly, because of her small platform compared to critics of Pete.

The “media defendant” issue matters because it directly impacts the defamation count.

The judge said the jury will have to decide that question on their verdict forms.

Jury members began deliberations on Wednesday and had until 4 p.m. to come up with a verdict.

Since they did not, jurors will reconvene on Monday, after the holiday weekend.
