Suspicious package reported outside Miami federal courthouse hosting Megan Thee Stallion trial

Suspicious package found near federal courthouse in Miami as Megan Thee Stallion trial continues

MIAMI — Miami police on Monday are investigating a suspicious package outside the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. U.S. Courthouse, located at 400 N. Miami Avenue.

Out of an abundance of caution, officers said they’ve blocked off North Miami Avenue and Northwest First Avenue between Third and Fifth streets.

The courthouse is currently hosting the defamation trial of rapper Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete.

She is suing blogger Milagro Cooper, also known as Milagro Gramz, for allegedly spreading false statements, amplifying an AI-generated deepfake video, and fueling online attacks.

The case is now in the hands of the jury.

No other details about the suspicious package were immediately released.
