MIAMI — A road rage victim is speaking about the harrowing incident that was caught on camera.
It happened on Halloween night along Interstate 95, near the Rickenbacker Causeway in Miami.
The brutal attack took place after the victim flashed his lights at the driver of the Tesla when it drifted into his lane.
Authorities said the suspect stopped not once, but twice in the middle of the highway -- the second time getting out of his car and going on the attack.
In the video, you can hear the terror in the voice of the victim while being punched over 20 times in the middle of the highway.
“For a good amount of the time when he was attacking me, I thought he was going to actually kill me,” said the victim, who asked to conceal his identity.
The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Luis Cardenas, was arrested over a month later after investigators used dash cam video to track him down.
He was in bond court on Friday.
Cardenas is facing a felony charge of robbery by sudden snatching after allegedly stealing the victim’s glasses, and he is also facing a battery charge.
He is expected back in court in February.
