Miami police identified the suspect in an arrest report obtained by Local 10 on Friday as 37-year-old Osmany Morejon.

The incident occurred on Nov. 22 around 11 a.m. outside Marianao Barbershop, located at 4800 W. Flagler St.

According to Miami police, the victim told officers that he and Morejon had been involved in multiple verbal altercations at work.

On the day of the incident, police said Morejon allegedly lured the victim to the barbershop’s rear parking garage and stabbed him with a pair of scissors.

The victim returned to the shop bleeding and told other employees what happened, and a client called 911, the report stated.

Police said Morejon fled the scene. The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for a puncture wound to his left abdomen that also pierced his spleen.

They said the victim identified Morejon in a photo lineup on Nov. 24.

Morejon was taken into custody Thursday by the Miami Police Department’s Felony Apprehension Team.

A motive for the stabbing remains unclear at this time.

Jail records show Morejon is facing one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

He appeared in bond court Friday morning, where a judge found probable cause.

A judge ordered Morejon to stay away from the victim. He was being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, as of Friday afternoon.

During the hearing, Morejon became lightheaded and was supported by corrections officers.
