Hallandale Beach Blvd. reopens in Pembroke Park after gas line repaired

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — All lanes on Hallandale Beach Boulevard have reopened in Pembroke Park after a gas line that was struck by a contractor Wednesday morning was repaired, authorities confirmed.

According to Pembroke Park police, the third-party contractor was “engaged in fiber optic installation” in the 3100 block of Hallandale Beach Boulevard when they accidentally struck the underground gas line near the Wawa gas station just before 10:45 a.m.

Police confirmed that all eastbound lanes in the area were shut down after the incident, but have since reopened.
