That person then took his own life while being pursued by police soon after.

The initial shooting happened along the 2400 block of High Ridge Road just after 4 p.m. while the business was open.

Investigators said the victims and suspect knew each other, but were not related.

After the shooting, police said a good Samaritan reported a suspicious car and called 911.

Officers said they located the vehicle and there was a short chase before the driver killed himself and crashed about 10 minutes away from the shooting scene.

“He turned down Leisureville Boulevard, traveled south, and we believe that’s when he shot himself in the head and crashed into a tree,” said Boynton Beach Police Chief Joseph DeGiulio. Shortly after, we were able to identify a suspect."

Cellphone video from a neighbor shows SWAT officers approaching the crashed car.

Jackie Ellis, who owns KW Innovations, a nearby business, told Local 10’s Michaila Hightower that she knew the victims.

“Turns out the two gentlemen who were shot and killed were friends of ours,” she said. “They were the landlords and owners of our building — the nicest men. This is devastating.”

“Whenever we would run into them, which is often out here. We would give them a hug, they would hug us just beautiful men and beautiful people,” Ellis added.

Several police cars were parked outside the business plaza where the initial shooting occurred.

Detectives have not identified the business where the shooting happened, only saying that it was an office.

Investigators say they are working to figure out the circumstances that led up to the shooting.

The victims have not been identified.
