Video shows road rage suspect pointing gun at couple in southwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. — A 32-year-old man was arrested after allegedly pulling a pocketknife and later pointing a gun at a couple during a road rage confrontation in southwest Miami-Dade late last year.

The encounter happened on Nov. 6. 2025, near Southwest 69th Avenue and Southwest 28th Street.

Video provided by the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office shows the female victim backing out of her driveway when the suspect, Kayan Deilmedia Fernandes, honked and drove around her vehicle.

According to investigators, Fernandes got out of his car and began yelling at the woman, accusing her of nearly hitting him.

The video shows Fernandes pulling out a pocketknife during the confrontation.

Deputies said the situation escalated when the woman’s husband came outside and argued with Fernandes. They said at one point, Fernandes allegedly pulled out a gun, pointed it at the couple and threatened them, saying, “You want to die.”

A judge set his bond at $20,000 and ordered him to stay away from the victims.

Jail records show Fernandes is facing two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He has since posted bond and been released from custody.
