MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Fans fortunate enough to score a ticket to the CFP National Championship Game will need to prepare for significantly enhanced security measures in and around Hard Rock Stadium.

That’s because President Donald Trump will be attending the big game between the Miami Hurricanes and Indiana Hoosiers, news that was confirmed by the White House on Saturday.

The Uniformed Division of the Secret Service will be screening all fans prior to entry, and there will also be pre-screening checkpoints in place that fans will need to pass through before being allowed on the stadium grounds.

Once a ticket has been scanned for entrance onto the grounds, there will be no re-entry allowed.

Additionally, officials warn that ticketholders “should expect to see an extended security perimeter with layers of ticket checkpoints as they approach the stadium on foot.”

That includes having tickets scanned just for entering the interior parking lots located on stadium grounds.

Fans are also being advised to limit the personal items they carry into the stadium due to the enhanced security measures. There will not be any storage areas available inside the venue for prohibited items, only lockers outside the stadium, so fans should plan accordingly.

Officials also warned that there may be sudden, temporary delays for fans moving through publicly accessible areas both inside and outside the stadium due to “support security operations.”

Kickoff between the Hurricanes and Hoosiers is set for Monday at 7:30 p.m.
