MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A woman has been detained for questioning after a man was fatally shot early Wednesday morning in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 5100 block of Northwest 29th Avenue at about 3:35 a.m.
When deputies arrived, they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel also responded and transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies confirmed that a woman was detained for questioning and detectives will determine her involvement in the shooting.
No other details were immediately released.
