MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Miami Gardens police say they’re investigating a sexual battery on the Florida Memorial University campus.
According to police, it happened just after 7 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities said the suspect jumped over a fence to gain access to the campus.
Police said the victim, a student here on a visa from Colombia, “was waiting at a bus stop when she noticed an unknown male whistling at her.”
They said in fear, she “walked back onto school grounds toward her dormitory” as the suspect “followed her and pinned her against a building door,” then sexually battered her.
Police said the man then fled. He’s described as a Black male, about 6 feet tall with a medium complexion and wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call Miami Gardens police.
