COOPER CITY, Fla. — A man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting Saturday afternoon in Cooper City, authorities said.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, someone called 911 at about 2:03 p.m. to report a shooting near the 10000 block of Stirling Road. Deputies responded and found a man who had been shot.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening, officials said.
Detectives with the agency’s Crime Scene and Violent Crimes units set up a perimeter in the area and later found and detained a suspect.
No other details about the shooting were immediately released, and a motive remains unclear at this time.
