BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities have announced an arrest from a deadly crash that occurred on Monday in Broward County.
It happened at 11:57 p.m. Monday in the area of Northwest 31st Avenue and West Prospect Road.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a stolen vehicle reported out of Margate was observed by police in the city of Tamarac.
Deputies said a crash involving a BSO patrol car and a civilian vehicle occurred, then shortly after, another crash between the suspect and another vehicle was reported.
A witness said a deputy involved in the chase struck a pickup truck trying to make a left turn, but the driver of that truck did not survive.
The suspect who was leading the chase has since been identified as 30-year-old Sean Paul Holder.
Jail records show he is facing charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, grand theft, driving with a suspended license and murder by another while engaged in a specified felony.
Authorities have also identified the civilian driving the pickup truck who was killed as Ronald Wilson, and the deputy who was involved in the crash as Brian Quintal, who they said is currently recovering from injuries sustained in the crash.
