MIAMI — South Florida firefighters went on a special mission Sunday.
They teamed up with the American Lung Association for the ultimate workout, climbing 1,700 steps at loanDepot park.
The firefighters were dressed in full gear, climbing every single step from the bottom of the ballpark all the way to the top.
It’s part of a fundraiser to raise money for the American Lung Association, which said nearly 3,000,000 people across Florida are living with lung disease.
The organization said all the dollars raised will make a big difference when it comes to advancing research and education.
The event began at 7:30 a.m. and ran through noon.
