According to police, responding officers arrived to find two men who had been shot.

Both men were rushed to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, police said.

Authorities did not provide an update on their health condition.

Local 10 News spoke with a resident named Eddy Hagen. He said the shooting happened next to where his truck was parked.

“There were seven or eight shots,” he said.

Hagen said he just moved into the neighborhood a few months ago, but doesn’t feel safe after the shooting.

“He was hiding behind my truck, the shooter,” Hagen said.

There is no word on whether the two men who were shot knew each other, of if anyone else was involved in the incident.
