BAY HARBOR ISLANDS, Fla. — Firefighters say they responded to a “fully-engulfed” blaze at a Bay Harbor Islands home on Monday afternoon.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the fire broke out just before 3:30 p.m. at the home, located in the 1300 block of 100th Street, and said “residents in the area are being asked to evacuate.”
No injuries were reported, an MDFR spokesperson said.
Video from Sky 10 showed smoke coming from the home, which is surrounded by a thicket of vegetation.
According to property records, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom home is valued at $2.7 million.
Firefighters “transitioned into a defensive attack” and began “working to protect nearby exposures,” as of about 3:45 p.m., the MDFR spokesperson said.
