WEST PARK, Fla. — Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in West Park that left multiple victims trapped inside their vehicles early Saturday morning, authorities confirmed.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews responded around 1:45 a.m. to the 5600 block of Pembroke Road following reports of a collision with injuries.

Authorities said when firefighters and paramedics arrived, they found two vehicles that had collided in an intersection with several occupants trapped inside.

Due to the severity of the crash and extensive damage, they said crews used specialized mechanical rescue tools to extricate all of the victims.

A BSFR spokesperson said three adults — two men and one woman — were transported as trauma alerts to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood with what officials described as “traumatic injuries.”

No further information was immediately available, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
