Man faces second-degree murder charge after woman killed on I-95

Death on I-95 leads to murder charge for Florida man

MIAMI — A man is facing a second-degree murder charge in the December 2024 death of 22-year-old Nahomi Cittadini.

Police say Lorent Pion beat Cittadini before dragging her onto the shoulder of Interstate 95, where she was struck by a car traveling at least 80 mph.

Investigators say it was not the first time Pion had been violent with her.

Witness video from months earlier shows what police say is Pion pulling Cittadini by the hair in Miami Beach.

A judge later issued a stay-away order with no expiration date.

Months later, she was dead.

According to police, on Dec. 18, 2024, a witness saw the pair together at Cheetah’s Gentleman’s Club in Hallandale Beach.

Around 6 a.m., state transportation workers reported seeing the incident unfold in real time on traffic cameras. They told police they watched Pion hitting Cittadini as cars swerved around them.

Police say Pion dragged her into oncoming traffic during a fight, where she was hit by a vehicle near the southbound entrance ramp from Ives Dairy Road in northeast Miami-Dade.

Detectives later found the 22-year-old naked and facedown on the side of the road.

Following Cittadini’s death, Miramar police arrested Pion in northwest Miami-Dade after tracking his ankle monitor to an apartment complex.

He had been held in the Broward County jail before recently being transported to Miami-Dade County, where he appeared before a judge.

Authorities said he also had an outstanding warrant from a prior case.

Pion was recently sentenced to four years in prison on separate charges of fleeing law enforcement.

The murder case remains pending. Pion is being held without bond.
